Legends in their Lunchtime – Shells Cafe

This blogpost is a little off-topic; it’s about a cafe and a cookbook.  Living in Sligo, we have been MASSIVE fans of Shells Seaside Bakery and Cafe in Strandhill since current owners Jane and Myles started inspiring our palates and senses in March 2010.

They do a superb job on the marketing front (no surprirse that Jane is a DCU marketing graduate), their Facebook page is a great example of social media done well and of course we love their beautiful branding.

Shells has proved to be a winning formula with a cult following as a flourishing eatery, catering for the outdoorsey, creative patrons with delicious, wholesome natural foods and hands down the world’s best lemon squares.

Following on the success of their café, the lovely couple have now published The Surf Café Cookbook. The book brings the reader into the world of Shells and the outdoor lifestyle Jane and Myles now enjoy on the beautiful west coast of Ireland.

Surf Cafe CookbookThe Surf Café Cookbook isn’t just about cooking, it shows the great lifestyle on offer for those who escape the city and we love its tips and tricks for the beautiful area of Strandhill and its vibrant culture.  Take a bow Jane and Myles.
