Adventurers, explorers and wellness seekers are being urged to set their spirits free with a visit to Sligo this autumn.
As part of our ongoing campaign for Sligo Tourism we have just launched a campaign to attract ‘Great Escapers’ to Sligo this Autumn.
We are so very proud of this new video which shines a spotlight on the array of activity holidays available in Sligo. It brings viewers on a whistle-stop journey across rugged terrain and swirling seas, on mountain bikes and surfboards.
There are horse trekkers under the gaze of Classiebawn Castle on Trawalua Beach, surfers riding pumping waves at Strandhill as well as mountain bikers, trail runners and beach yogis on the Atlantic edge. There is kayaking at Lough Gill, not forgetting the great western wind downs with music food and drinks.
We believe the footage captures the essence of Sligo’s vitality and just some of its stunning landscapes as well as the views which change at virtually every turn.
The message is clear – Sligo in Autumn is perfect for anyone in search of adventure and rebalance.
A key part of this campaign is measurable impact so the Sligo Tourism is packed with adventure packages available for all activity levels and budgets. There are a host of itineraries for couples and groups of friends looking for a few days adventure, with tips on great places to stay, eat, drink, kayak, surf, horse-ride, run, bike, hike, sail and do yoga.
It is all part of an ambitious year-long digital marketing campaign which we have been working on with Starling & Co to spread the word about Sligo.
Using the hashtag #SligoStories, locals and visitors to the county are being encouraged to share their favourite Sligo moments and pictures in the months ahead, be they sunrises on Knocknarea hikes or SUPping sunsets on Lough Gill or surf lessons in Strandhill, picnics on the beach in Enniscrone, dinner with friends in Sligo’s award-winning restaurants.
